Spanish rosé wine
Discover the Spanish rosé wines selected by our sommeliers.
Often relegated to third position behind its red and white counterparts, spanish rosé wine is increasing in popularity. They are made by macerating the red grapes for a considerably less time than when making red wine. Usually these wines are young, fresh and fruity, although there are also more and more aged rosé wine, which are a little more complex. One of zones best known for their rosés in Spain is La Rioja, as well as its neighbour Navarra, although great rosés can be found from all across Spain. The principal varieties used for rosé production in Spain are Tempranillo, Garnacha and Syrah.
