Tokaji wine

Sweetness, elegance and eternity

In Hungary, talking about wine means talking about Tokaji (or Tokaj) wine. The country is a modest producer of dry wines but its international fame is due to these elixirs which exude sweetness but, above all, elegance and eternity. Tokaji is a wine which distils history. It has become one of the most important wines in the world. It is made from furmint, harslevelü, sárgamuskotály and zéta grapes which have been attacked by the botrytis cinerea or noble rot. When vinified, these "botrytised" grapes give rise to these small peculiarities, great gems of world oenology and wines worthy of kings and queens.
