Viña Real Rosado

Viña Real Rosadois a red wine produced by the Viña Real winery in Laguardia, D.O.Ca. Rioja.

Viña Real is one of the wineries belonging to CVNE (Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España) located in Laguardia, Rioja Alavesa. In the 1920s CVNE launched the Viña Real brand, being one of the pioneers in the production of wines aged in oak barrels in this area, producing very elegant wines with all the character of the Rioja Alavesa.

The proximity of the vineyards to the old Camino Real was what inspired its name. These vineyards slope down from the Sierra Cantabria to the Ebro basin, lying on mostly clayey and chalky soils, thus being protected from the clearly Atlantic climate of the area by the mountains.

Viña Real Rosado is a rose wine made with Viura, Tempranillo and Grenache from a careful selection of the best grapes from the cellar’s estates.

Once the grapes are harvested, the three varieties are placed in stainless steel tanks and after a few hours of maceration the drawing off is performed by gravity and without pressing, thereby obtaining the must which will ferment for 20-25 days at a controlled temperature, always below 16°C.
