Veyder-Malberg Riesling Bruck is a Riesling variety white wine made in Wachau by Weingut Veyder-Malberg.

The winery in Spitz was founded in 2007 when the winemaker Peter Veyder-Malberg left his position in the Schloss Hardegg winery to start his own company. The producer, widely recognised for being a great champion of the Grüner variety and for understanding biodynamic wines like nobody else, is using his new professional endeavour to create vibrant wines from old vines with low alcohol and high minerality.

The Veyder-Malberg Riesling Bruck grape comes from 20 to 35-year-old vines planted on steep slate terraces. They are cultivated using organic agriculture and biodynamic treatments that help maintain the natural balance of the plant without harming it. No tractors or any other machine works in the vineyard. All work is manual and respectful of the environment.

In the winery the grape is not destemmed and is pressed lightly for about 6 hours. Veyder-Malberg Riesling Bruck ferments spontaneously with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. It is then aged for 4 months on its own lees.

Veyder-Malberg Riesling Bruck is a white wine that is born from the minerality of the fascinating Wachau Valley terroirs.
