Trénel Mâcon Villages is a single-variety Chardonnay white wine produced by the Trénel winery in the AOC Mâcon-Villages in Burgundy, France.
The Trénel Mâcon Villages wine comes from south and southeast-facing plots in Charnay-lès-Mâcon and Viré. The vineyards have a mixture of different soils, with predominantly clays and limestone rocks, which gives the wines an interesting balance.
This wine is made with grapes from vines aged between 25 and 50 years old. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel and cement tanks at a temperature of 16ºC to preserve the character of the fruit. The resulting wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is bottled after light filtering.
The Trénel Mâcon Vilages wine offers us an introduction to the Macôn-Village region and a way to get to know the Chardonnay variety, that has made Burgundy white wines famous, in a way that is accessible to both the palate and the pocket.
