Terroir Sense Fronteres Brisat is an orange wine made with the Garnacha Blanca and Macabeo varieties in the D.O. Montsant (Catalonia) by Terroir Sense Fronteres.
In 1996 Dominik Huber, a lover of Priorat, settled there to create his most personal project, Terroir al Límit. Throughout this process he discovered vineyards that were part of the neighbouring D.O. Montsant and that meant he could experiment with his own winemaking ideas without as many restrictions. This is how the Terroir Sense Fronteres wines were born. Light and fresh wines that reflect the terroir and the climate.
Terroir Sense Fronteres Brisat comes from vines planted in the Montsant Valley at 300-350 metres above sea level. They are 15-35 years old and planted on sandy clay soils, enjoying a Mediterranean climate with a continental influence. They are cultivated using environmentally-friendly agriculture and the yield is limited to 5,000-6,000 kg per hectare.
In the winery, the Terroir Sense Fronteres Brisat grapes ferment in whole clusters, without destemming and with native yeasts. They are then macerated with their own skins for two weeks. Finally the wine ages for 6 months in stainless steel tanks.
Terroir Sense Fronteres Brisat is an orange wine that, although light, has a lasting flavour. A Montsant with character that expresses an extraordinary personality in a fresh and smooth way.
