Solar de Líbano Reserva  is a red wine from DO Rioja, made by the Castillo de Sajazarra winery, located in the municipality of Sajazarra, in the highest part of the Rioja Alta.

The winery is built beside a castle surrounded by gardens that, during the 60s and 70s, produced grapes. The winery, the castle, the gardens and vineyards constitute an "authentic chateau". The vineyards are grown at an altitude of 540-680 metres. Due to their proximity with the Cantabrian sea, about 85 kilometres this area has a more Atlantic influence. The low rainfall is about 600 litres per year, well distributed throughout the year and with snowfall during the winter.

Solar de Líbano Reserva is made from 98% Tempranillo and 2% Graciano and Garnacha. The wine spends 2 years in barrels of American oak, the first year in new oak and the second in oak four years old. After 3 months of aging in wooden vats, it goes into the bottle, where it remains for about 12 months before marketing.

This is a classic-cut, traditional Rioja.

As in all European countries, many Spanish wines owe their reputation to the efforts of some traditional families and some large companies that have kept two basic requirements: quality and personality. This family companies have managed to gather their own heritage that allows them to make wine “at home” with quality assurance. An example of this is the winery Castillo de Sajazarra. Since its beginnings in the early 70s of the last century, it has made wines with their own seal, and with the inimitable style of La Rioja Alta.
Rioja is one of the most important areas of wine production in the world. It has a long history, and exceptional soils and climates. From the Tempranillo and Grenache varieties they make great red wines that are masterfully aged which demonstrates the experience passed from generation to generation.
