Characteristics Solà Fred Blanc

Trusted Shops Reviews

Solà Fred Blanc is a white wine made by Celler El Masroig in Montsant. This well known winery in the Priorat region has about 500 hectares of vineyards, which makes it the largest winery in Montsant.

Celler El Masroig was founded in 1917 in Masroig (Tarragona)

Solà Fred Blanc is made with Macabeo (75%) and Grenache (25%). The vineyards are planted on soils with a predominance of red clay, which favours the ripening of the grapes, as sunlight is reflected by the soils.

As for processing, Solà Fred Blanc undergoes a traditional fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures between 20 and 25 ° C. In these same deposits Solà Fred Blanc is aged on its lees for about 3 months.

Founded in 1917, this is one of the most important wineries in the Priorat country. It encompasses approximately 500 hectares of vineyards, all under the Montsant Denomination of Origin, and is one of the largest wineries within the DO.
Pictures and situation Masroig
Montsant is situated in the province of Tarragona, surrounding the DOQ Priorat. Although a young Denominación de Origen, Monstant is located in a land with a large history in winemaking. The wines, mostly reds, are typically made with Grenache and Carignan grapes and are authentic, wild and artisanal. Wines produced in this region are usually extremely good value given the high quality.
