Sanz Sauvignon Blanco is a young white wine made by Vinos Sanz with the French Sauvignon Blanc variety in the D.O. Rueda (Castilla y León).
The Sanz family have been working their vineyards for many years across six generations in the heart of Rueda, in the Valladolid town of La Seca. They have their own vineyards in a great climate and with great soil, which all works together to create a territory and a winery with a unique personality.
Sanz Sauvignon Blanco comes from their own vines planted in stony soil. The climate is continental and the vines are cultivated using traditional agriculture with a focus on quality over quantity. When the grapes reach optimum ripeness, they are harvested manually and selected in the vineyard.
In the winery, the Sanz Sauvignon Blanco grapes are destemmed and gently pressed. The resulting must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a maximum temperature of 15ºC. Finally, the wine is filtered and clarified before bottling.
Made by one of the oldest wineries in Rueda, Sanz Sauvignon Blanco is a wine that hints towards new things. This is a single-variety Sauvignon Blanc wine. This French variety grows with elegance and freshness in this denomination where wines are mainly made with Verdejo.
