Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Sandrone Barolo Le Vigne is a Nebbiolo variety red wine made in the DOCG Barolo (Piedmont) by the Sandrone Lorenzo winery.

Luciano Sandrone has been making high quality wines since he started out in 1978. Independent, modern productions made in the privileged Cannubi area (Barolo). Starting from a great respect for the terroir, since their first elaborations in 1978 they have managed to reflect everything that this Italian wine region has to offer.

Sandrone Barolo Le Vigne comes from 30-year-old vineyards located about 380 metres above sea level and planted in clay, sandy and calcareous soils. Cultivated using the guyot system, they use respectful agriculture and the harvest is carried out manually.

The Sandrone Barolo Le Vigne must macerates with its skins for 7 to 18 days and ferments spontaneously with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks for 28 days. Malolactic fermentation happens in oak barrels. It then continues to refine for 24 months in oak barrels, only 20% of which are new. To finish, it is stored in the bottle for 18 months.

Sandrone Barolo Le Vigne is a red wine that reveals the character of a true Barolo. Made by experts and showing the elegance and complexity of a unique terroir.

Barolo is a town in Piedmont that one of the best and most expensive red wines in Italy is named after. It is made exclusively with the Nebbiolo variety and ages for a long time before being released for sale. Barolo wines are complex, with highly concentrated fruit and flavours, intense tannins and high acidity and alcohol.
