Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Second Skin is a Reserve sparkling made by Ruinart in the AOC Champagne, in Champagne (France).
An integral part of the powerful LVMH group, Ruinart is known as the first champagne house to emerge in 1729 in the prestigious Reims region. With the Chardonnay variety reigning here generation after generation, they have produced great champagnes with outstanding finesse and elegance and their assemblages carry the characteristic style of this exclusive Maison.
Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Second Skin is made mostly with Premier Crus vineyards from the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs areas. The vines are cultivated using traditional agriculture, taking into account the area’s fluctuating climate. When the grapes reach optimum ripeness, they are harvested manually.
In the winery, the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Second Skin must is extracted through gentle pressing and then transferred to temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. This must is then masterfully blended with reserve wines by the renowned Frederic Pannaïotis who perfectly expresses the “Ruinart style” that he has managed to maintain so well over time.
Bearing in mind that taking care of the environment is one of this company’s main priorities, Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Second Skin is presented in a new fully recyclable package. An elegant and very light cover made entirely of paper that covers the iconic Ruinart bottle like the walls of the maison’s famous underground galleries, known as Les Crayères.
