Roberto Voerzio Barolo Brunate 2015 is a red wine with notes of black cherries and cherry liqueur, herbs, leather and liquorice on the nose. On the palate the ripe black fruit returns, with an intense, structured and long mid-palate. A deep and powerful wine.

Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Roberto Voerzio Barolo Brunate is an organic single-variety Nebbiolo red wine made by Azienda Agricola Roberto Voerzio, in the DOCG Piemonte in Italy.

Roberto Voerzio Barolo Brunate comes from vineyards that lie between 200 and 400 metres above sea level. Each of these vines are aged around 35 years old and carefully pruned to ensure low and high quality yields of around 500 grams of fruit per vine. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented with their native yeasts in stainless steel tanks.

The resulting wine ages for 24 months in old French oak barrels and in “botti”, large Italian 1,500-litre barrels, to then spend eight months aging in tanks, followed by eight more months of resting in the bottle before being sold. It is not clarified or filtered.

The Azienda Agricola Roberto Voerzio was founded in 1986 in La Morra, a small town in the heart of Langhe that has been recognised for its prestigious vineyards that appear in local literature with the same names since 1350.

Roberto Voerzio is one of the few living legends of Piedmont thanks to his Nebbiolo wines that seem to be eternal and that have gained him an excellent international reputation.

Barolo is a town in Piedmont that one of the best and most expensive red wines in Italy is named after. It is made exclusively with the Nebbiolo variety and ages for a long time before being released for sale. Barolo wines are complex, with highly concentrated fruit and flavours, intense tannins and high acidity and alcohol.
