Robert Denogent Mâcon-Village Les Sardines is an organic white wine made by Robert Denogent in the AOC Mâcon-Villages (Burgundy) with the Chardonnay variety.
Robert Denogent is a family Domaine that has passed down a passion for wine from generation to generation since 1922. Jean-Jacques Denogent and his son Nicolas are currently in charge of producing rich and complex wines that are comparable to the best Côte de Beaune whites.
Robert Denogent Mâcon-Village Les Sardines comes from five hectares spread across the towns of Mâcon, Saint-Véran and Pouilly-Fuissé. The team use ecological agriculture and no herbicides or pesticides. Instead of using chemical products, they cultivate between the rows to prevent erosion and maintain humidity. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
Once the grapes reach the winery, Robert Denogent Mâcon-Village Les Sardines begins the winemaking process with a direct pressing into 228-litre French oak barrels. The wine ages for 18 to 30 months in barrels, only 15% of which are new and the rest have been used for one or two years.
Made from a mix of different terroirs, Robert Denogent Mâcon-Village Les Sardines is a single-variety white wine that is worth a try. An intense, complex and unctuous Chardonnay.
