Riu Blanc is a white wine from the Priorat, produced by Trio Infernal.

This project is a cellar owned by 3 French wine-makers: Michel Gérin, Laurent Combier and Peter Fischer, who in 2002 founded this winery in Torroja del Priorat (Tarragona).

Riu Blanc is made from the Garnacha Blanca and Macabeo. The grapes come from very old vines, aged between 40 and 50 years, planted on clay-limestone and slate soils.

The preparation is traditional for Riu Blanc. Later the wine is aged for 14 months in oak barrels.

Fisher-Gérin-Combier was created in 2002 by three French winemakers in Torroja de Priorat, seduced by the magical landscape of vineyards at the foot of the Montsant mountains, and motivated by the determination of a common project. On one trip, while seeking the ideal location for your project, visit René Barbier (Clos Mogador), a leading 'guilty' of the new Priorat, and he convinces them that this is the perfect place to develop your dream.
Pictures and situation Trio Infernal
Priorat is craftsmanship and tradition, old and robust vines that are grown and born deep inside the province of Tarragona. They are grown on slopes that are sleety with low fertility and difficult to grow in. In Priorat they produce great red wines of an excellent quality, a maroon colour, robust, dense and rich flavour, intense aromas and sometimes there are reflections present of minerals from the soils.
