Riffault Sancerre Quarterons is anatural monovarietal Sauvignon Blanc white wine from the Appellation Sancerre Contrôlée produced by Sebastien Riffault.
Sebastien Riffault is a unique Sancerre producer. He founded his winery in 2002, and works according to the principles of biodynamics, respecting the biodiversity in his vineyards and making natural wines, without any added oenological products.
The vineyards for Riffault Sancerre Quarterons are around 30 years old, and their soils are clayey-calcareous and are oriented southeast and south. All the grapes are harvested by hand to respect their integrity and so that an initial selection of the best bunches can be made in the field.
Once in the winery, the Riffault Sancerre Quarterons harvest is fermented with native yeasts for about 3 months and at a temperature of 15 to 20 ºC. Afterwards, the wine is aged on lees in steel tanks for 18 months, and lastly the wine is bottled by gravity.
Riffault Sancerre Quarterons is a fresh, creamy natural wine with mineral touches and body. A lingering, pleasant and curious wine.

Riffault Sancerre Quarterons 2015 has a delicate and floral nose, with mineral notes and a creamy base note from ageing on lees. On the palate it is fresh and citrus, with touches of white fruit and minerals. Soft and voluminous.
