Characteristics Remelluri Reserva

Remelluri Reserva is a red wine, made from a blend of 5 different grape varieties: Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, Viura and Malyasia. The grapes come the most important vineyards of the property. from vineyards located in soil that contains limestone terraces of calcareous, clayey soil, with bedrock surfacing in certain areas. These terraces consist mainly of sandstone and loam, the origins of which date back to the Quaternary Period.

A different varieties are treated with traditional organic viticulture treatments. The harvest begins in early October and ends in late October / early November. The grapes then go through a selection table. Fermentation then takes place using indigenous yeasts.

Remelluri Reserva is aged for 17 months in barrels of different origins and sizes.

Tasting notes Remelluri Reserva

Remelluri Reserva 2013 is a concentrated red wine with aromas of ripe black and red fruits, balsamic notes and hints of mountain herbs. On the palate it’s expressive, complex and elegant. A flavorsome wine with a silky, refreshing texture and a long, lingering finish. 

Remelluri 2010 offers us all the potential of a perfect vintage. The excellent ripening of the grapes has led to a great refinement of the wine in oak. From this stay in barrel, it has obtained some subtle spicy aromas, and some of the black fruit has given it its red colour. A concentrated but fine wine. An must have Rioja wine.
It is a wine with a soft and voluminous input (feeling hungry and heat). Tasty, with a certain rusticity, with good acidity, balance and harmony. Long finish.

Cherry color and intensity very good layer. Garnet edge.

Rich wine with intense aromas. Concentrated black and red fruit. Funds minerals, fungi, hints of incense and aromatic herbs.
This red wine is elegant from start to finish. Good attack, rich and structured, ripe polished tannins and an excellent acidity. Long finish. An aftertaste characterised by ripe fruit and toasted notes.

Picota cherry colour with maroon rims. Medium-high robe, clean, bright with abundant tears on the glass.

Once opened out this wine exudes intense aromas of ripe red fruit along with spicy, toasted notes, subtle touches of flowers and herbs, balsamic notes and something mineral.

Smooth, wide and embracing attack. Tasty and silky mid palate, with notes of fruit and toasted highly present and balanced. Good acidity. Very nice polished tannins. Good long, warm and persistent finish. A mature and elegant wine.

Intense dark cherry red with maroon trims. Clean and bright.

Elegant and intense aromas. Nice creamy aromas provided by the oak along with intense aromas of ripe red fruits, almost jam. Spicy background with hints of cacao and a subtle minerality that gains intensity.

This wine is rich in fine touch of creamy oak, with good expression to ripe red fruit and nuances of citrus in harmony (floral sensation).
Fund to jam and cherries in liqueur, sweet aromas of spices and herbs roasted. Presents a slightly mineral tinge, aromas of rosemary and scrub is completed.

Remelluri is an idyllic farm located in the surroundings of Labastida, La Rioja Alavesa. It has a hundred hectares of their own vineyard, where the Rodríguez Hermandorea family has perfectly recreated a vineyard in the style of the "château" from Bordeaux.
