Reina de los Deseos is a red wine made by Comando G from Sierra de Gredos, Madrid.
Comando G has recovered several old Grenache variety vineyards. Hence the G in its name, G for Grenache.
The grapes are grown on old Grenache vines that are cultivated with maximum respect for the environment, following the principles of biodynamic agriculture.
The vines are planted at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level, in the mountains in la Sierra de Gredos.
They suffer from a difficult climate that helps the grapes ripen in a balanced way.
The result? The wines are fresh and elegant.
The grapes are destemmed before undergoing a cold maceration.
The fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature and aging takes place in French oak barrels for 14 months.
This is a wine that has a great Grenache expression. Fresh and very expressive.
A marvellous wine of limited production.
