Real de Asúa is a red wine made with the Tempranillo variety made in the D.O.Ca. Rioja by CVNE.

The CVNE winery was founded in 1879 by brothers Eusebio and Raimundo Real de Asúa in the station district of the town of Haro (Rioja Alta). It was one of the first wineries to bottle in Rioja and, since then, five generations have continued the work. It is currently made up of four wineries: CVNE, Imperial, Viña Real and Viñedos de Contino.

The Real Asúa red wine grapes come from a selection of CVNE's own vineyards in Rioja Alta. Traditional cultivation methods are used in 1.5 hectares of vineyards planted in clayey-calcareous soils in a continental climate. These are low-yield strains that are collected and selected in the vineyard at their optimum ripeness.

In the winery, Real de Asúa undergoes alcoholic fermentation in small French oak vats and malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels. It is aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.

Real de Asúa is a tribute to the founders of the winery, brothers Eusebio and Raimundo. A homage to tradition with perfectly balanced fruit and wood.

The Haro winery consists of a set of buildings and drafts, most of the nineteenth century, arranged around a courtyard. Above them were built pavilions processing, bottling and shipping of wine that are now preserved.
