Príncipe de Viana Reserva is a red wine produced by the winery Príncipe de Viana, in the municipal of Murchante, D.O Navarra.
This winery, established in 1983, took the name of the noble Príncipe de Viana that since 1423 was the heir to the throne of Navarra. This title represents the traditions, renovations and values which represent the winery.
Príncipe de Viana Reserva is produced from the varieties Tempranillo (65%), Merlot (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%).
For production, after a traditional winemaking process, the wine is aged for 14 months in 225 litres French (50%) and American (50%) oak barrels.
After being aged, Príncipe de Viana Reserva rests for a further 22 months in the bottle before being sold.
