Porrera Vi de Vila is a red wine from the D.O. Priorat produced by Celler Vall-Llach with Carignan (70%) and Grenache (30%) grapes from vines over a hundred years old. The old-age of the vines define this wine´s personality.
The destemmed grapes ferment in wooden barrels and stainless steel deposits. They undergo a cold maceration for 3 days before fermentation. Fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature between 25º and 29º C for a period of 19 days without daily stirring and smooth pump-overs. Post-fermentation maceration lasts for 12 days after a soft pressing. The malolactic fermentation takes place 50% in stainless steel deposits and 50% in the barrel.
This wine has been aged for 16 months in new, lightly toasted, medium-sized and fine-grained French oak barrels.

Celler Vall Llach was created at the beginning of the 90s by the singer Lluís Llach and the notary public Enric Costa in Porrera, one of the nine villages that comprise D.O.Q. Priorat. It is a very small winery that chooses to carry out the controlled microproduction of its farms or “trossos” with the aim of always putting quality before quantity. For this reason, at Celler Vall Llach have established a limit to the extension of their production and growth. Their aim is to keep the personalised and exhaustive control of each one of their wines, which are considered to be fascinating and unique. This is why at Celler Vall Llach they turn the relationship between human beings and the land into a delicate balance between the effort of a hard cultivation and the enjoyment of unique results.
Priorat is craftsmanship and tradition, old and robust vines that are grown and born deep inside the province of Tarragona. They are grown on slopes that are sleety with low fertility and difficult to grow in. In Priorat they produce great red wines of an excellent quality, a maroon colour, robust, dense and rich flavour, intense aromas and sometimes there are reflections present of minerals from the soils.
