Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Perelada Brut Nature Cuvée Especial is a cava brut nature from the Cava region produced by Castillo de Perelada. This cava is a blend of 4 grape varieties: Xarel.lo (41%), Parellada (22%), Macabeo (22%) and Chardonnay (15%).

Perelada Brut Nature Cuvée Especial is made using native grapes, selected from vinyards from the denomination of origen. The region is home to a mild and temperate climate ideal for growing grapes.

The vinification process is carried out using conventional methods. First, the free run juice is obtained through fermentation at a controlled temperature.

Before being put onto the market after undergoing the different phases of production, Perelada Brut Nature Cuvée Especial ages for 12 months in the bottle, then finally, undergos disgorging by conventional methods.

Perelada Brut Special Cuvée is a very special cava which is produced only on great vintages. The Chardonnay, plus the three varieties frequently used in the preparation of cavas, results in this exceptional cava.

Cava was born under the constant shadow of its French counterpart, Champagne. However, produced over 1,200km away and a gap of over 100 years, Cava was always going to be a completely different product, even if produced using the same method and and sometimes with the same varieties. Firstly the climate and soil have a profound impact on the yields, while the plant strains that thrive here and completely different to those in the Champagne region. Fortunately, as more winemakers are becoming convinced of this, they are producing Cavas with their own personality, showing off the art of the second fermentation in the bottle like no other wine region in the world.
