Ónra finally breeding new and first came from French forests for a period of approximately one year barrels.

Ónra is a red wine from the Costers del Segre region. It is produced by the Gravera winery and is a blend of 3 different grape varieties: Garnacha Tinta and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The vinyards used to produce the grapes are situated between Segrià and Noguera, in the east of Catalonia, and are cultivated using biodynamic techniques.  The area is characterized by sudden changes in temperature with little rainfall.

The harvest is carried out manually using 8kg capacity boxes and just after being picked, the grapes are left in cold storage at a temperature of 6 °.

The winery carries out two selection processes, one manual one automated. Maceration lasts for 3 days. Fermentation is that undergone at a controlled temperature of 24-26 degrees, the grapes are fermented separately depending on their variety.

Finally Ónra is aged for around one year in new French barrels.

When we refer to the DO Costers del Segre we think of wines with a continental character, which in some respects is true, but extensive replantation of international grape varieties means that the majority of wines produced here lack a geographical or territorial trademark, even though the vast majority of the wines are technologically perfect. However, there are currently wineries such as Mas Blanch i Jové, Costers del Sio, L’Olivera, Lagravera and Thomas Cusiné, among others, who concentrate their effors on producing wines with what are considered varieties native to the region. However, the majority of this region is still dominated by classic international varieties.
