Nana is a white wine produced by the winery Attis Bodegas y Viñedo in Dena, D.O.Rías Baixas.

Attis Bodegas y Viñedos is a family-run winery located in the centre of Val de Salnes, a small village located on the hillside of mount Penaguda, opposite the Arousa and Pontevedra estuaries.

Right next to the house where they made their first wines in a traditional way, they built this winery that is completely integrated in the surroundings. Here, they vinified their first vintage in 2012.

Attis Bodegas y Viñedos own and cultivate 5 hectares of vines divided into small plots located between 100 and 400 metres of altitude. The soils are loamy-sandy with a lot of stones, and the climate has an Atlantic influence, with mild temperatures, and high rainfall that is well distributed. In the summer, however, rain levels tend to decrease.

Their wines honestly respect and enhance the variety, gathering all its features like its acidity, its minerality and its fruitiness.

Nana is a wine made from Albariño, from the oldest vineyard owned by the family, which is over 40 years old. It is planted on granite soils with sandy-clay features. The vineyard is entirely organic.

Grapes are manually harvested and placed in 15-kg boxes, with manual grape selection when they enter the winery. Once they are destemmed, they go through cold skin-contact maceration with dry ice. After pressing and selecting the flor must it goes through a cold settling process. It ferments with local yeasts in French oak barrels. Once the alcoholic fermentation has finished, it rests with its fine lees in the same barrels for 12 months, with periodic batonnages. Before being bottled, it is clarified and filtered.

Attis is a family-run winery located in the heart of the Salnés Valley, in the epicenter of the Albariño variety. It is an area greatly influenced by the Atlantic Ocean and the Arousa estuary.
It is the third generation of a family with a long tradition in the production of wines. They base themselves on respect towards the vineyard, towards this local variety and towards the environment. An experience that shows in the wines, which are capable of expressing the honesty of this variety: a perfect acidity together with a subtle minerality.
Rías Baixas wines would not be where they are today without the native Albariño grape variety. Although red wines are also produced in Rías Baixas, practically 100% of Rías Baixas wines are white. Among them, the vast majority of them are made with the Albariño grape. As well as young wines, fresh and aromatic, the region also makes wines aged in the barrels, complex wines with great personalities. Albariño wines can either be single varieties, or be part of a blend with other characteristic grapes of the region: Treixadura, Loureira Blanca and Godello.
