Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Montespina Verdejo is a white wine from the appellation of orgin (D.O) Rueda produced by Avelino Vegas. It is a monovarietal of Verdejo.

The grapes used by Montespina Verdejo originate from old vineyards, nearing a century in age. These small 1 to 3 hectare plots only grow the grape Verdejo.

The harvest is completed after an exhaustive control of the grapes ripeness. Once the grapes have arrived at the winery, they are destemmed and given a light cold maceration to obtain a better intensity of aromas.

The grapes are gently pressed and the must fermented for 20 days at a constant and controlled temperature.
Finally, Montespina Verdajo is aged for a few days with its own lees.

Avelino vegas
is a traditional family business that was founded in 1950. Two wineries own the business: Avelino Vegas, that produces Montespina Verdejo, and Bodegas Fuentespina, of the appellation of origin (D.O) Ribera del Duero.

Avelino Vegas The winery was established in 1950 belonging to the DO Rueda. In 1964 occurs the first development of the grape Verdejo. In 1982 began to market wines from DO Rueda. They have invested heavily in design and image in their products, both in its labeled as in glass containers.
When we talking about the Rueda wines, we are often referring to their white wines. The white wines produced in this region are often made with the Verdejo variety, the main variety of Rueda, planted along the Douro River and its tributaries. Rueda white wines often offer lots of floral notes, scrubland low, delicate aromas and a great acidity given by strong temperature differences between day and night. Apart from white wine, Rueda also produces red wine, often made with the Tempranillo variety.
