Characteristics Molí dels Capellans La Coma Trepat
Molí dels Capellans La Coma Trepat is a red wine produced by the Molí dels Capellans winery in Montblanc, D.O. Conca de Barberá.
Molí dels Capellans was founded in 2007. Sergi Montalà and Jordi Masdeu began this project to produce high-quality wines at a reduced production level, while respecting the winemaking tradition of the region, Conca de Barberá, to the full.
By carefully processing grapes from old low-yield high-quality vines they produce excellent wines that reflect the vineyard where they come from.
Molí dels Capellans La Coma Trepat is a 100% Trepat wine from three estates between Pira and Solivella, from vines grown at an altitude of between 450-550 meters. Thinning is done in the vineyard. The grapes are harvested by hand and double-selected. They are then destemmed and a film maceration performed before fermentation. The wine is aged for 6 months in French oak barrels with a minimum of 6 months in the bottle before coming to market.
Molí dels Capellans La Coma Trepat is a light and structured wine. The light barrel aging contributes just the right amount of the body that this variety lacks.
