Mía Freixenet Sparkling Moscato Rosé is a sparkling wine produced by Freixenet in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, D.O. Penedés.
Freixenet is one of the most popular cava brands. Its history goes back to 1961, when the Sala family started to produce still wines. However, it was not until 1911, when the heiress of Casa Sala married the youngest of the Ferrer de la Freixeda family, that they started to make sparkling wines using the traditional method, like the one used for Champagne. In 1914, the first bottle of sparkling wine is launched on the market, under the brand Freixenet.
Currently, Freixenet is a winemaking group with more than 20 brands around Spain, France, United States, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Australia. They have a production of more than 114 million bottles per year, and they export to more than 150 countries.
Mía Freixenet Sparkling Moscato Rosé is a sparkling wine made from Muscatel and a small amount of Tempranillo.
Once they are harvested, the grapes are destemmed and pressed, fermenting in stainless steel deposits with temperature control. The deposits are hermetically sealed when the wine reaches 7% vol., attaining its carbon dioxide and the desired amount of residual sugar.
Mía Freixenet Sparkling Moscato Rosé is a sweet, fresh and pleasant sparkling wine. Ideal not only with dessert, but also with salads that have red fruit, salmon or even with Asian cuisine.
