Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Matías i Torres Albillo Criollo is a white wine from La Palma produced by Matías i Torres in the town of Fuencaliente, on the island of Palma.

Matías de Torres is a historic winery of the island. Founded in 1855, it is currently in the hands of the 4th and 5th generations with Victoria Torres at the helm.

The vineyard to produce Albillo Criollo is found in the northeast of Palma, 1200 metres above sea level. It has been without irrigation for over 30 years and sits on fertile land surrounded by vegetation.

Matías i Torres Albillo Criollo is harvested by hand and undergoes a gentle pressing with 25% of the stem in a stainless steel tank.

This white wine does not have a fruity quality, but seeks elegance, minerality and freshness. This is a wine that tries to communicate its surroundings, of which they only produce around 1500 bottles a year.

With an area of 726kmand an impressive orography, La Palma is the island with the greatest heights in relation to its surface. The island is full of contrasts and luminosity, with high peaks and deep gorges, lush forests and volcanic zones full of colour, all of which have led to the nickname ‘la isla bonita’ (the beautiful island). La Palma is home to a vast range of grape varieties that, together with modern production techniques, have allowed the island to produce many pleasant surprises, not only with their classic white Malvasia wine and wines derived from the ancient "canary sack", but also their rosés and reds, which are also signs of excellent quality.
