Masciarelli Montepulciano is a Montepulciano variety red wine produced by Tenuta Agricola Masciarelli, under the DOC Montepulciano D'Abruzzo in Abruzzo, Italy.

The grapes used to make Masciarelli Montepulciano come from the Loreto Aprutino that are located at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level and are made of clay rich in sand.

The clusters are destemmed and pressed when they reach the winery. The must is macerated at a controlled temperature with the skins for 10 to 15 days, depending on the vintage. Once alcoholic fermentation has finished, the wine is settled and racked to age for twenty months in stainless steel tanks.

Gianni Masciarelli was the one who set up Tenuta Agricola Masciarelli and he was also a symbolic figure in the Italian winemaking world. Masciarelli represents modern winemaking in the Abruzzo region. They have vineyards and olive groves in 4 of its provinces, where they work with innovative methods but also with a commitment to respecting the environment and using certified principles of sustainability.
