Masciarelli Trebbiano 2019
DOC Trebbiano d'Abruzzo
(Abruzzo)
They say that unity brings success, that working as a team gives us a common purpose, sparks interest and stimulates creativity. When it comes to Gianni Masciarelli, a passionate Abruzzo winegrower, the truth is that although he inherited his passion for vineyards and wine from his paternal grandfather Giovanni, it was when he met his wife Marina Cvetic that his Masciarelli project reached new heights in Italian winemaking and he became a symbol of the modern Abruzzo wine culture.
Highlighting the territory, culture and winemaking tradition, everything Masciarelli touches turns to gold. To begin with, his first line of wines carrying the founder’s name has become a benchmark for the company. Wines like this Masciarelli Gianni Masciarelli Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, which come from flagship vineyards in the province of Pescara that stand out for their excellent exposure and significant temperature variation. These are unique terroirs, which are rich in minerals and lie at altitudes of between 200 and 500 m. Different traditional cultivation systems are used here as well as and organic agriculture. Once the grapes arrive at the winery, they undergo spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks and remain on the lees before bottling.
This is how Masciarelli Gianni Masciarelli Trebbiano d'Abruzzo is presented, a smooth, fresh and lively white wine where it is clear to see the potential of the native Trebbiano variety. A wine that is easy to drink and hard to put down.
