Mas Coutelou La Vigne Haute is a natural, organic and vegan red wine made on lees by Mas Coutelou with the Syrah variety in the French region of Languedoc-Roussillon (Vin de France).
The Mas Coutelou winery is located in Languedoc, near Béziers. This is where Jean-François Coutelou took on the family winery and became one of the new generation winemakers in southern France. His three focusses are local varieties, organic farming and natural winemaking, resulting in authentic, pure and highly creative wines.
Mas Coutelou La Vigne Haute comes from the oldest vines planted on the highest sections of the estate. These are ecological vineyards cultivated without using any chemicals and growing alongside a rich animal, plant and mineral biodiversity. The yield is limited and the harvest is carried out manually.
Mas Coutelou La Vigne Haute is a cuvée of the best Syrah variety berries that ferment spontaneously with native yeasts. The wine spends no time in oak and is bottled by gravity, without filtering or adding sulphites.
In an effort to preserve the natural beauty of the fruit, Jean Francois Coutelou wines are unique and highly sought after. Mas Coutelou La Vigne Haute is a premium red wine that is only made in the best vintages.
