Martín Berdugo Joven is a wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero region produced by the Martín Berdugo winery. This wine is made using only Tempranillo grapes.

The grapes used for Martín Berdugo Joven come from an estate owned by the winery, which spans 104 hectares and lies at 800 metres above sea level. The local climate is characterised by extreme conditions, which is typical of the Ribera del Duero region.

The vines are grown with the objective of a low yield, thereby causing each fruit to have a higher concentration and quality. The harvest is carried out manually and is done after a careful selection of the vines. There is a small distance between the vineyard and the winery, which means once pick there is only a short journey before the vinification process can be carried out.

At the winery, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Upon reaching the site, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature using yeasts which occur naturally in the grapes. These yeasts ensure that each wine has its own character and individuality. The vinification process and various phases of production of Martin Berdugo Joven are perfomed in using traditional methods.

Martin Berdugo is a family winery located in the town of Aranda de Duero, in the center of the D.O. Ribera del Duero region. The family business began in 1990, but it was not until 2000 that the family began to harvest grapes used for the development of their own products.

Martín Berdugo is a relatively new family-run winery committed to innovation. This winery is directed by young and adventurous people, who are brave enough to make wine outside of the ordinariness of the area, who know how to express the character of the Tinto Fino, of the nature where it grows, and the individuality of the fruit of its vineyards in each one of their wines. They use the latest technology and know-how, with respect for the essence, the viticulture and the tradition of Ribera del Duero.
Ribera del Duero wine is one of the most prestigious wines in Spain. Red wines made with Tinto Fino variety grapes, with highly complex aromas, fine on the palate and with a great storage capacity. The wines of Ribera del Duero present a perfect balance between the vividness of the fruit and the refinement of the wood, which has led to them obtaining a well-deserved international acclaim.
