Martin Berdugo is a wine from the Ribera del Duero, prepared by the Martin Berdugo winery, located in Aranda de Duero (Burgos), in the heart of Ribera del Duero.

The winery, which opened in 2000, has always been known for its innovations in the field of wine architecture. The prestigious German magazine, Bauwet, distinguished this project of the architects Vicky Daroca and María Viñé in 2005, awarding it the best European design in the construction category.

The vineyards are located on a terrace overlooking the River Douro, before merging with the Arandilla River on the Castilian plateau, at 800 metres in altitude. This is an area formed by alluvial soils with boulders that retain heat and moisture, which promotes ripening on the vine while giving uniqueness to its aroma and colour.

Martin Berdugo is a monvarietal Tempranillo wine. In terms of processing, alcoholic fermentation lasts 10 days at a controlled temperature of 25 degrees and malolactic fermentation occurs over 15-20 days in stainless steel tanks. Maturing lasts two months in new American oak barrels (90%) and French oak barrels (10%).

Martín Berdugo is a relatively new family-run winery committed to innovation. This winery is directed by young and adventurous people, who are brave enough to make wine outside of the ordinariness of the area, who know how to express the character of the Tinto Fino, of the nature where it grows, and the individuality of the fruit of its vineyards in each one of their wines. They use the latest technology and know-how, with respect for the essence, the viticulture and the tradition of Ribera del Duero.
Ribera del Duero wine is one of the most prestigious wines in Spain. Red wines made with Tinto Fino variety grapes, with highly complex aromas, fine on the palate and with a great storage capacity. The wines of Ribera del Duero present a perfect balance between the vividness of the fruit and the refinement of the wood, which has led to them obtaining a well-deserved international acclaim.
