Martín Berdugo Barrica is a red wine from the Ribera del Duero region. It is produced by Martín Berdugo and comprised of only Tinto Fino (100%) grapes.
The grapes used to make this wine come from vineyards overlooking the River Douro and occupy a total of about 87 hectares. The plots are at 800 meters above sea level, where the weather is cold, winter frosts are frequent and the summers are dry and soft. The harvest is done manually and upon reaching the cellar, fermentation takes place for 10 days at a controlled temperature of 25 degrees.
The grapes then subsequently undergoes malolactic fermentation for between 15 and 20 days in stainless steel tanks. Finally, Martin Berdugo Barrica is aged for four months in American oak barrels and rests four months in the bottle before being marketed.

Dark maroon colour with a violet purplish rim. Medium-high robe.
Authentic and intense aroma. Hints of dark fruits (blackberry, liquorice) appear initially. Roasted touches and complex fresh fruit aromas, touches of vanilla.
Velvety, pleasant, wide, with pleasant tannins well integrated with the notes of fruit and subtle hints of toasted oak.
Dark garnet colour with purple trims. Medium-high robe.
This wine is intense. At first, notes of dark fruit (mulberry, blackberry, and liquorice) are noticed. Later, more complex touches of roasted and aromas of fresh fruit appear with some hints of vanilla.
Velvety, pleasant, spacious, with pleasant tannins well integrated with the fruit and subtle hints of toasted oak.
