Marco de Bartoli Vecchio Samperi Ventennali 50 cl is a fortified wine made with the Grillo variety by Marco de Bartoli in the D.O.P. Marsala.

Marco de Bartoli is known for reviving Marsala, a fortified wine typical of this Sicilian region that until recently was considered a cheap wine for cooking. This beautiful, fine, dry and delicate Marsala is made using the old solera method. Bartoli’s children have now expanded the range, but they are still using the same approach that their father began 40 years ago.

Marco de Bartoli Vecchio Samperi Ventennali 50 cl comes from native Grillo variety vines. A grape that is grown without synthetic chemicals, instead using only organic treatments. The harvest is carried out manually before the grapes become too ripe.

The Marco de Bartoli Vecchio Samperi Ventennali 50 cl grapes are selected manually in the winery. After gentle pressing and natural decantation, they ferment with native yeasts in oak and chestnut deposits at room temperature using the old perpetuum method (Soleras). This aging process involves adding small amounts of new and young wine to wines that have already aged in barrels for about 20 years.

Marco de Bartoli Vecchio Samperi Ventennali 50 cl is a fortified wine that shows off the special and unique flavour of a good Marsala.
