Máquinas & Tabla Laderas de Leonila Blanco 2018 is a fresh wine, made with Palomino, Doña Blanca and Godello, with saline contributions, low acidity and balanced on the palate. Contrasting on the nose with hints of apple and nuts.
Máquina & Tabla Laderas de Leonila Blanco is a wine with 6 months of biological ageing under flor and 10 months of ageing in wood, elaborated by Bodegas Máquina & Tabla, under the D.O. Bierzo, a region located in the northwest of Spain which borders Galicia.
Respect for the land and nature. This is the basis on which Oriol and Susana work. He’s a winemaker. She’s an artist and publicist. Both are the soul of Máquina & Tabla, a very special project which began in 2012 and from where they produce traditional, biodynamic wines, which capture the full potential of the terroir. Their Máquina & Tabla Laderas de Leonila Blanco wine is the best example of this.
According to Oriol and Susana, the main base of this project are the "oldest and most distinctive" vineyards which they found after an arduous exploration of the region: from the Gredos mountain range to the border with Galicia and Asturias. Once they found the ideal vines, they rented the property and start working, paying attention to the small details. After this Máquina & Tabla Laderas de Leonila Blanco underwent two types of ageing: first, under veil in flor for 6 months and then oxidative ageing for 12 months in used French oak demi-muids.
It’s essential to pay attention to the labels, which have also been replicated in poster size (and can be purchased separately). This and other details are what make Máquinas & Table Laderas de Leonila Blanco a rounded work of art.
