A mellow, harmonious and dry attack. A bitter finish. Very persistent.

Pale yellow with pretty reflections.

Solear is a manzanilla (a type of wine similar to sherry) aperitif wine produced in Sanlúcar de Barrameda by Bodegas Barbadillo.

The base of this wine is made by fermenting Palomino grapes. The most delicate grapes are selected and fortified until reaching 15% ABV.

This is a fortified wine, referred to in Spanish as "sobretablas." It ages for six years under the "flor" (a cover of lees), converting it into one of the most aged manzanillas on the market.
Solear is a unique manzanilla, with lots of elegance and finesse.

Reaching the highest point is a great merit, but to continue to rise, getting new ideas and developing unexplored paths, is a miracle within the reach of a very few. This is how we can describe Barbadillo, one of the ten oldest family businesses in our country. It currently remains as the most dynamic winery in the Jerez setting. Here they investigate and create, but its old "soleras" also contain almost eternal relics that are an absolute challenge to the laws of longevity. Wines that are a compendium of power and aromatic complexity.
