Characteristics Malherbe Rosé
Malherbe Rosé is a rosé wine aged on lees and produced by Château Malherbe in the AOC Côtes de Provence (Provence) with the Garnacha Tinta and Vermentino varieties.
Château Malherbe is a winery owned by the Ferrari family in an idyllic location in Provence. Four generations have dedicated their lives to getting the best from the estate by using traditional and artisan practices. This results in original and special wines that stand out mostly for their unmistakable Mediterranean spirit.
Malherbe Rosé comes from vines planted in reddish clay and silver shale soils. They are cultivated using environmentally friendly agriculture, avoiding chemical products that could harm the natural balance of the terroir. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the winery, the Malherbe Rosé grapes first go through a long maceration at a low temperature for 24 to 36 hours. The must ferments with native yeasts and finally ages on its lees for 4 months.
Malherbe Rosé is a very Mediterranean wine with a great balance of acidity and fruit. A rosé that reveals delicious minerality.
