Luzón Colección Crianza is a red wine from the Jumilla region. Produced by the Luzón Winery, it is a blend of Garnacha Tintorera and Monastrell.

The harvest is carried out manually, with grapes being harvested when their are of optimum ripeness, which prevents the grapes from breaking and preserves their best qualities.

After being transported to the winery, the two varieties are vinified seperately. Fermentation, maceration takes place with the skins which lasts for around 15-20 days.

Lastly, Luzón Colección Crianza is then aged for 12 months, as suggested by its name, in French and American oak barrels.

Luzón is a prominent winery from the Jumilla Region. The winery spans 500 hectares of vineyards which produce their products. The trademark varierty of this winery is however without a doubt the Monastrell grape.

Bodegas Luzón is a winery located in D.O. Jumilla. They use Monastrell as the main grapes, the queen variety in the area, combined with others such as Cabernet, Tempranillo or Syrah.
The grapes are harvested by hand, and each variety is fermented separately, seeking the balance between the fineness and the classic strength of the area.

To speak of Jumilla wine is to really refer to the Monastrell grape variety. In recent years Jumilla has undergone an impressive transformation. Once used as concentrated and highly alcoholic wines to give strength to weaker wines from other regions, the wines from Jumilla have managed to change this reputation, now enjoying prestige from all over the world. Flavourful wines, with body and concentrated. As well as red wines, the region is also known for their rosés, again produced with the Monastrell variety.
