Luzón Blanco is a white wine from the D.O. Jumilla made by the Luzón winery. This wine is made with equal parts Macabeo and Airén.

After a closely monitored cultivation and harvesting, the Luzón Blanco grapes are quickly taken to the winery.

In the winery, the harvested grapes are destemmed and lightly pressed. The resulting Luzón Blanco must is racked and clarified.

Then follows the fermentation phase: this lasts about 20 days and takes place at a controlled temperature, which ranges between 10º and 16º, with the aim of preserving the fruit’s freshness at all times.

Luzón Blanco is a young wine and is therefore bottled without resting.

The Luzón winery has 500 hectares of their own vineyards. It is one of the main wineries in the D.O. Jumilla.

Bodegas Luzón is a winery located in D.O. Jumilla. They use Monastrell as the main grapes, the queen variety in the area, combined with others such as Cabernet, Tempranillo or Syrah.
The grapes are harvested by hand, and each variety is fermented separately, seeking the balance between the fineness and the classic strength of the area.
Pictures and situation Luzón
To speak of Jumilla wine is to really refer to the Monastrell grape variety. In recent years Jumilla has undergone an impressive transformation. Once used as concentrated and highly alcoholic wines to give strength to weaker wines from other regions, the wines from Jumilla have managed to change this reputation, now enjoying prestige from all over the world. Flavourful wines, with body and concentrated. As well as red wines, the region is also known for their rosés, again produced with the Monastrell variety.
