Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Las Norias is a red wine made by Bodegas y Viñedos La Mejorada using the Tempranillo variety in the V.T. Castilla-León.

Bodegas y Viñedos La Mejorada is located in what was the cloisters of an old Jerome monastery in Olmedo (Valladolid). An old chapel that has been restored under the direction of architect Rafael Moneo and that, thanks to its layout, is perfectly suited to the order of the winemaking process. The technical team is made up of excellent, world-renowned professionals from the world of wine: Florent Dumeau, Xavier Choné and Álvaro Bernardo.

The wine’s name, Las Norias, comes from the site that was once home to the wheels that provided water during the Monastery days. Vines planted in 1999 at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level, on sandy soils with a clay base and with a continental climate. They use traditional cultivation methods and grapes are manually harvested at their optimum ripeness into 15 kg boxes.

Once the Las Norias grapes reach the winery, they are macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 10ºC. This wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. Stabilisation is natural and it is not filtered.

Las Norias is a red wine made using grapes from a single site. The freshness and minerality is typical of VT Castilla-León wines.
