La Salada Roig Boig Ancestral 2020 is a fruity sparkling wine with aromas of white fruit, floral notes and herbaceous touches. On the palate it is dry, fresh and effervescent. A light-bodied petnat with bright acidity, a touch of funk, and lingering delight.

La Salada Roig Boig Ancestral is a sparkling wine made with the Xarel·lo, Sumoll, Mandó, Cannonau, Mònica and Turbat varieties from La Salada in Penedès, Catalonia.

La Salada is run by Toni Carbó and Anna on their family estate with the aim of achieving the maximum expression of the terroir and protecting native varieties. Their wines are brave, authentic and very pure.

The Salada Roig Boig Ancestral comes from a mixture of different Mediterranean white and red varieties, some of which are almost extinct, planted in very deep calcareous clay soils. They are cultivated in an environmentally friendly way and the harvest is carried out manually.

In the winery, all the varieties used to make La Salada Roig Boig Ancestral are gently pressed and the resulting must spontaneously ferments with native yeasts. It is then bottled and a second fermentation takes place there.

La Salada Roig Boig Ancestral is an effervescent and fun “glou-glou” petnat. A sparkling wine made using the ancient method with the most surprising local Mediterranean varieties.
