La Petite Agnès is a coupage red wine at 50% Grenache and Cariñena produced by Bodegas y Viñedos Cal Grau in the D.O.Q. Priorat.

Bodegas y Viñedos Cal Grau is part of Compañía de Viñedos Iberian. This, in turn, was founded by the Osborne family, whose relationship with wine has its beginnings in the eighteenth century with the wines of Jerez.

The grapes for producing La Petite Agnès come from the Finca la Solana estate, in El Molar. It is a 22 hectare estate, terraced and with "licorella" soils, the name by which the slate soils are known in the area. These soils are poor in organic matter and have good drainage - ideal conditions for growing grapes.

La Petite Agnès is fermented in 8,500 litre stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25 ºC. Full maceration with the skins lasts some 7 days. By practicing these techniques a fresh wine is obtained, with little extraction and with fruity aromas. Lastly it is aged for 4 months in first and second year French oak barrels.

La Petite Agnès is a red wine with the coupage of Grenache and Cariñena, typical of the Priorat. It is noted for being a fresh and fruity wine with touches of its barrel ageing. A wine suitable for accompanying on a wide range of occasions.

Priorat is craftsmanship and tradition, old and robust vines that are grown and born deep inside the province of Tarragona. They are grown on slopes that are sleety with low fertility and difficult to grow in. In Priorat they produce great red wines of an excellent quality, a maroon colour, robust, dense and rich flavour, intense aromas and sometimes there are reflections present of minerals from the soils.
