La Bota de Fino Amontillado 85 is a fortified wine of the Pedro Ximénez variety produced by the Equipo Navazos in the D.O. Montilal-Moriles.

Equipo Navazos is made up of a group of Andalusian fortified wine lovers and led by Eduardo Ojeda and Jesús Barquín. Their mission is to reveal the hidden treasures found in the Marco de Jerez and Montilla-Moriles wineries. A curated selection of soleras and casks, with limited, artisanal bottling since 2005 in collaboration with prestigious winemakers like Valdespino, Pérez Barquero, and M. Gil Luque.

The La Bota de Fino Amontillado 85 grape comes from the best Pedro Ximénez variety vineyards in Sierra de Montilla and Altos de Moriles. Vineyards planted in the characteristic limestone terroir and harvested late.

La Bota de Fino Amontillado 85 is taken from the oldest Fino solera from the Los Amigos de Pérez Barquero winery. A total of 63 vessels sorted in threes, from which the 15 most expressive have been chosen. This is a truly old Fino with an average age between 12 and 14 years where the flor is already weak and dark and it is on its way to becoming an amontillado.

Their purpose is to incorporate a new perspective into the true essence of Andalusian wines, without giving up the authenticity and the magical limestone soils of Andalusia. Here, not only do they attain the raw material for the wonderful finos, manzanillas, amontillados, palos cortados and olorosos, but also for other fun and fresh wines.
When we speak of Montilla-Moriles, we must not forget that the best Andalusian wines are not simply just produced, they grow and they bloom, much as a child grows and a flower blooms. Sharp in colour, attractive fragrances and soft on the palate. All of this, plus the unique personality, verve and subtlety of each wine, makes the wines from this region real treasures to enjoy.
