Oenology without viticulture is complicated. And even more so nowadays when we are looking for wines with a certain typicity and expression. Under this premise Roc and Leo Gramona, the 6th generation of the prestigious Gramona family, makers of quality sparkling wines, began carving out a new path with L'Enclòs de Peralba. This is a small project where they champion native varieties, sustainable agriculture and minimal intervention winemaking. This philosophy aims to redefine the Penedès region.
Their L'Enclòs de Peralba Ví fi de Masía Blanc still wine is a single-variety wine made from the Garnacha Blanca variety planted at 400 metres above sea level on clay and limestone soils and cultivated following organic and biodynamic principles. In the winery, the grapes are vinified with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks and then the wine remains on lees in oak barrels. Finally, the wine is bottled without clarifying or filtering.
L'Enclòs de Peralba Ví fi de Masía Blanc is a wine that, although not part of the D.O. Penedès, showcases the full of expression and typicity of the terroir. Great work from a new generation of winegrowers who have started strong and most importantly, they respect the environment as much as possible.
L'Enclòs de Peralba Ví fi de Masía Blanc 2019 is a white wine with aromas of white fruit over a herbaceous background. On the palate it is fresh, enveloping and balanced. A wine that reveals integrated acidity, a light texture and a pleasant finish.
