Jordi Miró Garnatxa Syrah is a red wine produced by the winery Jordi Miró in Corbera d’Ebre, D.O. Terra Alta.
In 1999 Jordi Miró started this personal project by planting his first vineyard. After working in the wine industry, more specifically in the retail area, he decided to begin this journey and start making his own wines. In 2009 he built his own winery.
Jordi Miró work with local varieties like, Carignan, Tempranillo, Red and White Grenache, as well as with international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. He makes wines with their own particular style, with the aim of differentiating itself from others in an original way. He cultivates his vineyards organically.
Jordi Miró Garnatxa Syrahis a young wine made from Red Grenache and Syrah in three winemaking stages. The first one is the carbonic maceration, where the whole grape bunches are left to ferment for 15 days at a low temperature. After the 15 days are over, grapes are destemmed. The must is inserted in another deposit with the skins for 24 hours. Then they are pressed and the alcoholic fermentation ends in another deposit without the skins. The malolactic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel deposits.
Jordi Miró Garnatxa Syrah is a fresh wine with a lot of fruit. A lingering, sweet wine.
