Jean-Claude Lapalu Beaujolais Villages Vieilles Vignes is a natural red wine made by Jean-Claude Lapalu with the Gamay variety in the AOC Beaujolais-Villages, in Beaujolais (France).

Jean-Claude Lapalu is a leading natural winegrower who has worked the family estate since 1982 in the Beaujolais wine region of France. He has a total of 12 hectares of organically cultivated land and in 1996, he began making wines with minimal intervention.

Jean-Claude Lapalu Beaujolais Villages Vieilles Vignes comes from old vines aged between 50 and 80 years old planted on sandy and granite soils. Although he does not have any official certification, his work is 100% ecological with no systematic chemicals and manual harvesting.

Jean-Claude Lapalu Beaujolais Villages Vieilles Vignes is vinified with the whole bunches through a carbonic maceration. Spontaneous fermentation takes place with native yeasts and the wine ages in used French oak barrels for 12 months. The wine is not filtered or clarified and no sulphur is added.

Jean-Claude Lapalu Beaujolais Villages Vieilles Vignes is a magnificent elegant, crisp and very mineral cuvée. A great red for those who love the Gamay variety as well as those who love natural wines.
