Characteristics Hito Rosado
Hito Rosado is a rose wine made by Bodegas Cepa 21 in the Ribera del Duero. The winery is owned by Emilio Moro family, known Spanish wine growers who also own another winery in Ribera del Duero, Bodega Emilio Moro.
Bodegas Cepa 21, in this case, is characterised by its minimalistic and functional design and their production of modern wines.
Hito Rosado is 100% made from Tinto Fino. The grapes come from vineyards that are grown at an altitude of between 750 and 850m above sea level, on sandy clay loam soils.
For processing, a long settling and cold maceration for about 24 hours is performed.
After the maceration, the must ferments at a controlled temperature between 12 and 15 C in stainless steel tanks.
Finally, the wine is aged for 6 months with its lees and carbon.
Hito Rosado is a different rosé wine made from Tinto Fino, reminiscent of a red bine but with the freshness of rose wines.
