Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Heinrich Salzberg Weissburgunder is an organic and biodynamic, barrel-aged white wine made by the Heinrich winery in Salzberg, Burgenland (Austria) with the Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) variety.

Heinrich is a winery located in Burgenland (Austria) that produces a very diverse range of wines that perfectly express their origin. Always ahead of the curve, this is a leading winemaking project that focusses on local grape varieties, biodynamic cultivation and selecting the best terroirs.

Heinrich Salzberg Weissburgunder comes from just two rows of vines with a high level of sun exposure. These strains are planted in sandy loam soils with high lime content. The team use biodynamic agriculture, following the rules set out by the Respekt association and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.

When the Heinrich Salzberg Weissburgunder grapes reach the winery, they are left to macerate overnight. Fermentation takes place spontaneously and the wine ages for 18 months on lees in two used 500-litre oak barrels. Finally, it is bottled without filtering.

Heinrich Salzberg Weissburgunder is a white wine with an elegant texture, good acidity and a fine balance. Wonderfully mineral and extremely well-balanced.
