Guillot-Broux Mâcon-Cruzille Geniévrières is a single-variety Chardonnay white wine produced by Domaine Guillot-Broux in the A.O.C. Mâcon-Cruzille in Burgundy, France.
The Guillot-Broux Mâcon-Cruzille Geniévrières wine comes from a 2.7-hectare vineyard lying on deep terraces with steep slopes and soils made up of Bathonian clays and limestones. The vineyard was abandoned after the phylloxera crisis and has now been fully recovered and is cultivated using organic agriculture.
“A good wine is made in the vineyard, not in the winery” and this is the principle used by Domaine Guillot-Broux when working their plots in the most environmentally friendly way possible. The estate has been certified for organic agriculture since 1991 and they use green fertilisers and non-polluting treatment products.
The Domaine is located in Cruzille which is also the home of organic agriculture in Burgundy.
