The winery was founded under the name "The Cascajera" in 1872 by Claudio Chivite Frances, in the heart of the Autonomous Region of Corella. They now also make wine in the Ribera del Duero, Rueda and Rioja.
The climate in the Navarra is special, it has the influence of the Atlantic and Mediterranean together with the Cantabrian Sea, the Pyrenees and the Ebro valley. This wine is a varietal Chardonnay from vineyards 30 year old average planted on soils of warm clay and boulders in high terraces.
